Financing
You can move around the plan grid, and you know that its search filters rather than jumps.
Only three things in a row are typed: its **Description** and, on a source, its **Amount** and **Status**. The currency has no column of its own — it is an inline picker inside the Amount cell, the same pattern budgeting uses for Price/Unit, because it belongs to the amount rather than being a separate fact. The **Total**, **Received** and the two share columns are computed — they are results, and the grid will not let you type over them.
If a cell will not take an edit, that is why: something else decides it.
Click the arrow on a country or group to collapse it. Collapsing a country while you work on another is the quickest way to make a long plan readable.
**Tab** moves to the next editable cell and commits what you typed, so you can enter a source's amount, currency and status without reaching for the mouse.
The **Search** box lives in the details panel, not the toolbar. In financing it **filters the grid**: rows that do not match disappear while the term stands.
That is worth knowing because **a filtered plan looks exactly like a plan that has lost rows.** If sources have vanished and the totals still include them, clear the search box.
It also differs from the module you probably learned first: in budgeting and cost control the same box *navigates* to the next match and leaves every row in place.
Nearly every toolbar button acts on the selected row — Group needs a country selected, Source needs a group, Subtotal and Installment need a source. A greyed-out button usually means the selection is at the wrong level rather than that the feature is unavailable.
Select a source and its seven detail panels are there. Select a country, a group or an installment and there are none — only sources carry details — see [how source details work](/kb/article/how-source-details-work).
