You know what KOSMA asks when someone changes a value you are editing or want to undo.
If someone changes a value while you are editing it, KOSMA does not overwrite their change without asking. This applies to cells in the grid, to fields in dialogs and to undo with ⌘Z.
If someone changes a cell you are editing, a small orange dot appears in the top right corner of the cell. Point at it to see who changed the value when, with the old and the new value.
When you leave the cell, KOSMA asks:
Overwrite Anna's change? Anna changed Quantity on 10101 Screenplay from 2 to 5 while you were editing. Your change will set it to 3. \[Keep 5] \[Set to 3]
**Keep {new value}** keeps the other person's value, and what you typed is gone. **Set to {your value}** saves your value. If you typed the same value as the other person, KOSMA does not ask.
In Cost Control, fields depend on each other: an amount in **Expected**, for example, empties **Paid** and **Pay Date**. If someone changed one of these fields, KOSMA names it in a line of its own in the question. If someone deletes the row while you are editing it, KOSMA drops what you typed and shows:
Anna deleted 1.02 Rights & Options while you were editing.
If someone changes a field that you changed in an open dialog, a small dot appears next to the field. When you click **Ok**, KOSMA asks **Overwrite changes made while you were editing?** and shows a table of the fields you both changed. The buttons act on all fields of this table at once:
- **Apply mine** saves your values. - **Keep theirs**: these fields keep the others' values. KOSMA saves the rest of your input. - Esc closes the question. The dialog stays open, and KOSMA saves nothing.
You set **Quantity** from 1 to 2, and Bea then entered 5. When you press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows), KOSMA asks first:
Undo over Bea's change? Bea changed this from 2 to 5. Undo will set it back to 1. \[Keep 5] \[Set back to 1]
**Set back to 1** puts 1 back in **Quantity**. **Keep 5** leaves Bea's 5, and KOSMA asks again at your next ⌘Z.
If you did not have the value open, and your change and someone else's meet only when KOSMA sends to the server, KOSMA opens **Resolve conflicts**, see [resolve conflicting changes](/kb/article/resolve-conflicting-changes).
