You know what each topsheet widget shows, how the Companies and Effects widgets change with the module, and how an Info row gets its value.
The topsheet is a summary of your production, made of widgets. To open it, click **Topsheet Info** in Budgeting, Financing or Cost Control. Each widget shows figures from the module in which you opened the topsheet. The topsheet does not calculate anything itself.
| Widget | Shows | | -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Info** | Rows of facts about the production that you add yourself | | **Companies** | The figures of each [company](/kb/article/split-costs-between-companies) | | **Effects** | The figures of each [effect](/kb/article/what-effects-are) | | **Currencies** | Each [currency](/kb/article/set-currencies-and-the-reporting-currency) in use and its exchange rate | | **Financing Shares** | The share of each [financing source](/kb/article/how-a-financing-plan-is-structured) in the selected plan | | **Financing Gap** | **Financing Total** against **Budget Total**, and the **Gap** between them | | **Budget Variance** | **Budget Total** against **Forecast Total**, and the [Variance](/kb/article/understand-a-negative-variance) | | **Cash Flow** | **Income to Date**, **Expenses to Date** and **Current Cash Flow**. Only in Cost Control. See [read the cash flow grid](/kb/article/read-the-cash-flow-grid) |
The **Companies** and **Effects** widgets show different columns in each module, because each module has different figures to compare. See [what the topsheet shows in each module](/kb/article/what-the-topsheet-shows-in-each-module).
| Module | **Companies** shows | **Effects** shows | | ---------------- | -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- | | **Budgeting** | **Budget** | **Required** and **Budget** | | **Financing** | **Financing**, **Budget** and **Variance** | **Required**, **Budget** and **Variance** | | **Cost Control** | **Financing**, **Forecast** and **Variance** | **Required**, **Forecast** and **Variance** |
A negative **Variance** is shown in red.
In Cost Control, both widgets have a switch in their header with the tooltip *Compare against budget*. If you switch it on, the first column shows **Budget** instead of **Financing** or **Required**, and **Variance** compares **Forecast** against the budget.
If no financing source is linked to an effect, **Required** shows **n/a** instead of a number.
The **Info** widget holds facts about the production that you choose yourself, for example Production Company, Director or Format. There is no fixed list of rows. You add the rows that your production needs. To add or change rows, click the pencil button in the header of the widget. Its tooltip reads *Edit*.
Each row gets its value in one of two ways:
- **Free text**: you type the value. It stays the same until you change it. Use it for facts that KOSMA does not calculate, for example a policy number. - **Formula**: KOSMA calculates the value from the budget, with the same formula language as everywhere else in KOSMA. The value changes when the budget changes. A formula can be a function such as `SUM_COMPANY("Northlight")`, or the name of a variable.
To see the formula of a row instead of its value, click the *ƒx* button in the header of the widget. Its tooltip reads *Show/hide functions*.
When you print a budget or a cost report, the first page of the PDF shows the Info rows with their labels and current values. If you delete a row here, it is no longer on the printout. The other widgets print as follows:
- On a budget printout, the figures for companies, effects and DFFF print if **Topsheet Stats** is ticked and you add them as columns. See [print a budget](/kb/article/print-a-budget). - On a cost report, the widgets you see on the topsheet print if **Topsheet Stats** is ticked.
To choose which widgets the topsheet shows, see [customize your topsheet widgets](/kb/article/customize-your-topsheet-widgets).
