Budgeting
You know under which account the budget grid lists fringe, supplement and extra cost rows, how to switch between the two views, and which view to use for which task.
KOSMA shows every applied fringe, supplement and extra cost as a row of its own in the budget grid. With a toggle in the toolbar, you choose under which account these rows appear: their [collect-in account](/kb/article/how-collect-in-accounts-work), or the wage account they come from.
In the toolbar, click  to switch the view. When you point at it, KOSMA shows what it does:
When on, wage fringes, supplements and extra costs are listed directly under the account they belong to, instead of being collected in the separate collection account set in the settings.
When the toggle is off, each fringe, supplement and extra cost row appears under its collect-in account. That account lists everything collected in it. The number in brackets on a row names the wage account the amount comes from. Off is the default.
When the toggle is on, each row appears under the wage account it comes from. Below these rows, KOSMA adds a sum row. The number in brackets on a row now names the collect-in account. The sum row shows the sum of the fringe, supplement and extra cost rows of this wage account. The wage account's own total holds only the wage.
The toggle only changes where the rows appear on screen. It does not move any money. In both views, each amount counts once: in its collect-in account. The sum row under a wage account is for display only. Account, group and category totals and the **Grand Total** are the same in both views. A total that changes when you switch the toggle is a bug.
Taxes do not move with the toggle. A collect-in account for taxes shows only its total in both views. The toggle does not change the collect-in account. You choose it when you define a fringe or supplement.
