Financing
You can read the two share columns in the financing grid and know which total each percentage refers to.
Two columns in the financing grid show each source's share of its country's financing and of the whole plan. Funds and co-production authorities judge a financing plan by these percentages.
Both columns sit directly to the right of **Total ({currency})**: first the country share, then the total share. Their headers show only an icon. When you point at the country share icon, KOSMA shows:

On a printout, the two columns are called **Country Financing** and **Total Financing**. If the plan has no country row, the country share column is not shown.
KOSMA divides the amount of a row by one of two totals and shows the result as a percentage.

Active sources are sources that are not deactivated and do not belong to a deactivated group or country. For more on deactivated rows, see [deactivate sources, groups and countries](/kb/article/deactivate-financing-rows).
An example: a fund pays 350,000 EUR. The active sources of its country add up to 1,000,000 EUR, and those of the whole plan to 1,600,000 EUR. The fund's country share is 35 %, and its total share is 21.9 %. A source's total share shows how much the whole plan depends on that one financier.
Every source shows both percentages. If a source pays in installments, each installment has its own row below the source. That row also shows both percentages, calculated from the amount of that one installment.
A country row always shows 100 % as its country share. Its total share tells you how much of the whole plan comes from that country. Co-production authorities compare this figure with the required quota. Group rows, subtotal rows and the **Financing Total** row show no percentages.
If you add up the country shares of the sources in one country, you get about 100 %. Because KOSMA rounds each country share to a whole percent, the sum can also be 99 % or 101 %. Leave the installments out of this sum, because their source's amount already includes them.
If a source's **Amount** field is empty, both its share cells stay empty rather than showing 0 %. The source is then left out of every total, and the shares of the other sources are calculated without it. If the active sources of a country add up to 0, the country share stays empty for that whole country.
KOSMA calculates both percentages. You cannot type them in. When you change the amount or the currency of a source, or move a source to another country, KOSMA recalculates both percentages. A source you move gets a new country share, because KOSMA now divides its amount by the total of the new country.
