First Steps
You can give a guest's access an end date, and know exactly what happens when it arrives.
**Access Expiration** is for the ordinary case: someone joins for one production and should not keep the material once it wraps. Instead of remembering to remove them later, you set the date now.
Only the owner has this control.
Click the **Access Expiration** cell and pick a date.
Like every other change in this dialog, the date does not take effect until you save.
**What happens on that date.** Access ends for real, not just in the interface. Once the date passes, the server no longer treats the guest as a member of the project at all — the project disappears from their projects list, and every place that checks membership refuses them, exactly as if you had removed them by hand. Copies of the project's datasets already on their device are cleared too, so nothing is left behind for them to keep working from offline.
**Leaving it blank.** **No date means no expiry**, and that is the default every guest starts with. They keep access until you either set a date or remove them — Access Expiration is something you opt into per guest, not a limit everyone is under.
**You cannot set this on yourself.** The owner's own membership can never carry an expiration date. There is exactly one owner, and nothing in the project can lock them out of it.
