You decide which value stays when you and another person changed the same value.
If you and another person changed the same value, KOSMA first sends all other changes. For these values KOSMA then opens the **Resolve conflicts** dialog:
These changes collided with Anna's while you were editing. Everything else is already merged and saved. Choose per line which value stays.
Each line shows three values: the value before either of you changed it, the other person's value with the time of their change, and your value. On the right is a button that starts at **Keep mine**. If the other person's value should stay, click it: the button then shows **Keep theirs**.
If one of you deleted the row, you cannot choose. If the other person deleted the row, it stays deleted. If you deleted the row and the other person changed it, the row stays with their changes.
Click **Apply**. KOSMA saves the values you chose, sends the budget and closes the dialog.
On every line set to **Keep theirs**, your value is lost after **Apply**. If you then press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows), KOSMA sets back only the lines set to **Keep mine**.
**If you want to keep all your changes.** Click **Save all my changes as a copy…**. The open budget keeps the other person's values. KOSMA creates a new budget whose name ends in **(conflict copy)** and opens it. It holds the whole budget with your values.
**If you do not want to decide yet.** Click **Cancel**. The conflicts stay open, and KOSMA shows the dialog again after your next change.
KOSMA opens **Dataset Version Conflict** instead of **Resolve conflicts** when it cannot combine your changes with the newer version on the server. This dialog has the buttons **Save Changes** and **Discard Changes**. Click **Save Changes**: KOSMA puts your changes into a conflict copy, as above, and then loads the version from the server.
**Discard Changes** deletes your changes that have not reached the server yet. You cannot get them back.
Two rare messages about version conflicts are explained in [what version conflict messages mean](/kb/article/what-version-conflict-messages-mean).
