First Steps
You can remove someone from a project and know when the removal actually takes effect.
Only the owner has this control.
**Delete Guest** asks you to confirm, naming the person:
Are you sure you want to remove *them* from this project?
**The guest is not removed until you save.** Confirming the dialog stages the removal; closing the settings without saving leaves them on the project exactly as they were.
That is the same staging rule as everything else in this dialog, and it cuts both ways: it means a removal clicked by mistake is undone by closing without saving, and it means a removal you *meant* has not happened until you save.
Removing someone takes away their access to the project. **It does not delete anything they made** — a budget they built is part of the project, and the project is yours.
What they lose is the ability to reach it. The project disappears from their projects list at their end.
You cannot remove yourself from a project you own — an owner is not in the guests list, and a project always has exactly one. If you want off a project you own, the route is handing it to someone else.
If you are a *guest* wanting off a project, ask the owner. You have no settings control to do it with.
