Financing
You can move a financing plan onto another budget by copying it there, and you know what the warning before the copy counts and what it does not count.
When a new budget replaces the old one, the financing plan has to move onto the new budget. You cannot change the budget an existing plan is linked to. Instead, copy the plan and link the copy to the new budget. To make the copy, you need a **Production** licence or a running trial.
Open the plan you want to move. Click  **Copy Financing Plan** next to the plan dropdown. For the other ways to open the dialog, see [copy a financing plan](/kb/article/copy-a-financing-plan).
The list under **Link budget and settings values to:** opens with the plan's current link selected. Choose the budget or cost control set to link the copy to. The active budget is the one you have open, and **Cost Control Sets Based on Active Budget** lists only its cost control sets. You cannot choose a budget that was shared with you read-only. KOSMA shows:
Ask its owner for editing rights to link to it.
Click **Save Snapshot**. If you chose **New version** in the dialog, the button is **Create Version**. Before saving, KOSMA shows one of two dialogs. If the new budget has everything the plan refers to, KOSMA opens **Copy With a Different Link** and names the change:
The copy will be linked to “{new link}” instead of “{old link}”.
If the link changes from a cost control set to a budget or the other way round, KOSMA adds:
Its comparison column changes from {old} to {new}.
If the new budget does not have everything the plan refers to, KOSMA opens **Some Details Cannot Come Across** instead. It first shows the same messages as **Copy With a Different Link**, then:

Below it, each kind of lost detail has a line with a number:

To keep every detail, click **Cancel**. KOSMA makes no copy. Click **Continue** to save the copy with the new budget, without the listed details. After **Save Snapshot**, the old plan stays open. KOSMA finds companies, effects, taxes, milestones, phases and payment cycle presets in the new budget by their name. The name must match exactly, including capital letters: "Company A" and "Company A Ltd" are two different companies.

If `ACCOUNT(...)` names an account the new budget does not have, the formula returns no value. Only the warning before the copy counts these accounts. KOSMA shows no error later. The old plan stays as it is, linked to the old budget, until you delete it.
When you delete a plan, KOSMA also deletes everything built on it, such as its cash flow plans.
