Share & Print
You can print a cost control set as a PDF and choose which columns and rows it shows.
You need the cost control set open in Cost Control and a licence that lets you edit Cost Control.
In the **Project** menu, choose **Print…**, or press Cmd+P (Mac) or Ctrl+P (Windows). KOSMA opens **Print Cost Report**.
Check the fields at the top of the dialog and change them if you need to.

A cost control set has the grids that its budget had when the set was made. A grid you create or change in the budget later does not appear in the set. You cannot build or edit a grid here. | | **Currency** | The currency of the amounts | | **Color Mode** | **Color** or **B/W**. **Color** is set. | | **Paper Size** | **DIN A4** or **US Letter**. **DIN A4** is set. | | **Orientation** | **Auto**, **Portrait** or **Landscape**. **Auto** is set: KOSMA turns the page to landscape when the columns are too tight in portrait. |
Drag a column, such as  **Budget**, from **Totals** into **Selected Columns**. Clicking a column does not add it. **Save PDF** and **Open PDF** stay greyed out until you add at least one column. You can add up to 10 columns. KOSMA ignores any further column and shows no message.

If the cost control set has companies or effects, **Add Columns** also shows **Companies** and **Effects**, with one column for each company or effect. In **Selected Columns**, such a column has the list **Select**, where you choose what it prints: **Budget**, **Forecast**, **Variance**, **Paid** or **Pending**. If you choose nothing, the column prints **Forecast**.
KOSMA prints the text in a column's name field as its heading. To change the order, drag a column by  **Drag to order** to another place. To remove a column, click  **Remove column**.
Tick the options you need under **Display Options**. **Topsheet Stats** and **Active Filter** are ticked when the dialog opens.

On these rows, **Budget** and **Variance** stay empty. | | **No 0 Totals** | Leaves out every row whose **Budget**, **Forecast**, **Variance**, **Paid** and **Pending** are all 0, groups and categories included. This holds whether or not you added these columns. | | **Topsheet Stats** | Prints the **Companies** and **Effects** tiles on the cover page if they are shown in **Topsheet Info** and have data. You do not need to add their columns. | | **Active Filter** | Leaves out deactivated accounts and groups. The option has nothing to do with the filter of the Cost Control screen: the printout follows an applied screen filter whether or not you tick this option. With a grid other than **Standard**, the option has no effect. |
KOSMA prints an **Exchange Rates** tile on the cover page, whether or not **Topsheet Stats** is ticked. DFFF columns, **Additional Sheets** and the options **Subaccounts**, **Highlights** and **Total Column Only** exist only when you [print a budget](/kb/article/print-a-budget).
Click **Open PDF** to open the PDF in your computer's PDF app, or **Save PDF** to save it. The next time you open the dialog, it shows the defaults again.
**If you cannot choose Print….** You can print a cost report with a **Cost Control** or **Production** licence and during a trial; with any other licence, **Free** included, you can print only the cost control set of the demo project.
