Share & Print
You can produce a PDF of a cost control set and choose which money columns it carries.
**Project ▸ Print…**, with a cost control set open. That one menu entry opens whichever print dialog belongs to the module you are in, so it is Cost Control that decides you get **Print Cost Report**.
The dialog is close to [the budget's](/kb/article/print-a-budget) — Title, Grid, Currency, Color Mode, Paper Size and Orientation across the top, then Display Options and a drag-and-drop **Add Columns** area.
It is also the same *document*. The cost report prints through the budget's layout, so a reader who has seen one recognises the other; what differs is which numbers occupy the columns.
**Save PDF and Open PDF stay disabled until you add a column** — visible above, on a dialog just opened. That is the one thing about this dialog that surprises people, and the next section is why.
A cost report has no fixed money columns. Drag what the reader needs from **Totals** into **Selected Columns**:

**At least one column has to be added**, or there is nothing to print — the dialog says so above the drop zone. Companies, effects and DFFF values can be dragged in as columns as well; each of those pools appears only when the set has something in it to offer.
There are four options, and no others:

**Cost Items** is the option that decides who the report is for. Without it a reader sees where each account stands; with it they see every booking behind the number.
**Topsheet Stats** puts the Companies, Effects and Exchange Rates tiles on the cover page. It prints the tiles your Cost Control dashboard is actually showing — a tile you have removed from the dashboard does not appear here either.
Unlike the budget and financing printouts, a cost report has **no Additional Sheets section**: there is nothing to print as a separate sheet after the accounts, and exchange rates reach the document only as the cover tile above.
**Open PDF** shows it; **Save PDF** writes it to disk.
The document opens on a summary page — every category, a **Net Production Costs** subtotal, the markups, and a **Grand Total**. It is built from the same rows the account pages print, so the summary and the detail always reconcile.
