Cash Flow
You can print a cash flow plan as a PDF for a bank, a fund or a financing meeting, with the periods, the currency and the company the reader needs.
A PDF of the plan is for readers who do not work in KOSMA, such as a bank, a fund or a financing meeting. For a reader who works in KOSMA, [share the cash flow plan](/kb/article/share-a-cash-flow-plan) instead. You need the plan open in Cash Flow.
In Cash Flow, choose the periods, **Budget Detail**, **Currency** and **Producer** the reader needs. The PDF shows the same periods, rows, currency and company as the grid, so you set them in Cash Flow. Fewer periods and fewer rows give fewer pages.

In the project menu, choose **Print…**, or press Cmd+P on a Mac or Ctrl+P on Windows. KOSMA opens **Print Cash Flow**.
Enter the title and choose the page setup. While the project stays open, KOSMA keeps **Paper Size**, **Color Mode** and **Orientation** for your next printout.

During a financing round, several versions of a plan often circulate. Put the version and the date in the title, for example "Cash flow, financing application, March 2027".
Click **Open PDF** to open the PDF in your PDF viewer, or click **Save PDF** to choose where KOSMA saves it.
The PDF starts with the project name, your title and a line with the company, the currency and the date range. Below them are **Total Income** with its rows, **Total Expenses** with its rows, **Cash Flow** and **Cumulated cash flow**, with a total column in the display currency. KOSMA prints income and expense groups in full, even when you collapsed them in the grid. At the end are the milestones and two lines that name the budget and the financing plan. KOSMA does not print the waterfall chart.
KOSMA prints each run of periods without any income or expense as one narrow hatched column. In the grid, they stay normal columns. The totals still cover every period. When the periods do not fit on one page, KOSMA continues on the next page and repeats the row names and the total column there.
Your licence does not include Cash Flow. You can print and export a cash flow plan with a **Production** licence or during a trial, but not with **Free**, **Budget** or **Cost Control**. KOSMA shows:
Editing a shared dataset needs a paid licence. Your Free licence does not include editing access. Upgrade your licence to continue. If your licence comes from a team, your team admin manages it — ask them to check the team’s plan.
Click **Upgrade** to open the pricing page in your browser. In the Demo Project, you can print with every licence.
The plan was shared with you with **Can view** or **Frozen copy** access. With this access, you cannot print or export the plan. To see the reason, point at  in the Cash Flow rail:
This dataset was shared with you and cannot be edited. To make changes, create a copy.
Ask the person who shared the plan for the PDF, or for **Can edit** access.
**Export to Excel instead.** To give the reader the figures as a spreadsheet, choose **Export Data** in the project menu. KOSMA writes the same figures to an Excel file, in the display currency.
