You can print a budget as a PDF and choose what the PDF contains.
You can print a budget as a PDF. You choose what the PDF contains, then you open it or save it. You need a budget open in Budgeting. Printing is not available on the Free plan.
In the **Project** menu, choose **Print…**. KOSMA opens the print dialog for the budget.
Check the fields at the top of the dialog and change them if you need to.
| Field | What it sets | | --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Title** | The title on the PDF. KOSMA fills in the budget name, the date and the currency. You can change it. | | **Grid** | The structure of the budget. **Standard** is set. For another structure, see [print a budget in another structure](/kb/article/print-a-budget-in-another-structure). | | **Currency** | The currency of the amounts. The default currency of the budget is set. | | **Color Mode** | **Color** or **B/W** | | **Paper Size** | **DIN A4** or **US Letter** | | **Orientation** | **Auto**, **Portrait** or **Landscape** |
Tick the options you need under **Display Options**. **Subaccounts**, **Topsheet Stats** and **No 0 Totals** are ticked when the dialog opens.
| Option | Effect | | ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Subaccounts** | Prints the subaccounts of each account | | **Topsheet Stats** | Prints companies, effects and DFFF values on the topsheet, if you add them as columns | | **No 0 Totals** | Leaves out every row with a total of 0, including groups and categories | | **Fringes, Supplements, Extra Cost Items** | Prints every fringe, supplement and extra cost item | | **Deactivated Accounts** | Prints the deactivated accounts too | | **Highlights** | Prints highlighted accounts with their highlight | | **Active Filter** | Prints only the rows that the current filter shows | | **Total Column Only** | Prints only the No., Description and Total columns |
**Deactivated Accounts** and **No 0 Totals** exclude each other. If you tick one of them, KOSMA clears the other.
Tick the sheets you want under **Additional Sheets**. KOSMA adds each ticked sheet to the PDF. All three are off when the dialog opens:
- **Fringes, Supplements and Extra Costs per Account** - **Account Notes** - **Currency Exchange Rates**
Drag a column from **Add Columns** into **Selected Columns**. KOSMA prints each selected column as an extra column. **Original & Variance** adds two columns: **Original** and **Variance**.
**Add Columns** offers a column for each company, for each effect and for the DFFF values, if the budget has companies, effects or DFFF settings.
Each selected column has a name box. To change the name that prints, type into it. To remove a selected column, click its trash icon. To change the order of the extra columns, drag a selected column to another place.
Click **Open PDF** or **Save PDF**. **Open PDF** opens the PDF in the PDF app of your computer. **Save PDF** asks where to save the file and suggests the title as the file name.
**If you cannot choose Print….** On the Free plan, KOSMA does not print. Upgrade your licence, or ask your team admin if your licence comes from a team. See [what your licence includes](/kb/article/what-your-licence-includes).
