Project Administration
You can bring your projects from KOSMA 2 into your KOSMA account, and know what comes with them and what does not.
You ask for your old projects once, in your customer area, and prove while doing so that the old account was yours. Nothing is copied before that.
Only projects you synced in KOSMA 2, meaning uploaded to the server, come across. Purely local projects cannot be moved.
Sign in on kosma.io and go to **Subscription**. The section **Your projects from KOSMA 2** is at the bottom of that page.
That is the address you signed in with in KOSMA 2, not the one you use now. If both are the same, enter it anyway.
If we do not find that address, the page says so straight away. Nothing is sent, and nothing is claimed.
We send a confirmation to the **old** address, and the link in it is valid for 24 hours. This is the step that proves the account was yours, so it always goes to the old address, even when it is identical to your current one.
If nothing arrives, check your spam folder, then use **Send email again**.
The transfer starts once you have confirmed and can take a while. Your projects appear in KOSMA when it is done; the customer area shows how far along it is in the meantime.
**Your own synced projects come across** with their datasets and attachments.
**Only what was synced comes across.** What moves is what KOSMA 2 uploaded to the server. Projects that only ever lived on your computer and were never synced are unknown to the server, so they cannot be moved.
**Projects other people shared with you do not.** Each person moves their own account, so a shared project reappears once its owner has moved it too.
**Your licence does not change.** Moving your projects gives you your old data and nothing else: if you are on Free today, you stay on Free, and the projects are there for when you upgrade.
You can do this once. A KOSMA 2 account can be claimed by exactly one KOSMA account. So sign in with the account you actually intend to work in before you start.
Two cases where the route above does not get you there.
Team administrators and team seats cannot move their projects. The section does not appear for them at all, because who owns migrated projects inside a team is not settled yet. Write to <support@kosma.io>.
If the customer area says the transfer has finished without succeeding, or that it is taking longer than usual, write to <support@kosma.io>.
