First Steps
You can sign in to KOSMA through your browser and continue when the sign-in does not finish.
You sign in to KOSMA on a web page in your browser. KOSMA has no password field of its own. You need a KOSMA account, see [create your KOSMA account](/kb/article/create-your-kosma-account).
Click **Sign in with browser** on the sign-in screen. KOSMA opens the sign-in page in your browser and shows *Authenticating in browser…* while it waits.
Enter the email address and the password of your KOSMA account on the sign-in page and click **Log In**. Your browser shows *You're signed in to KOSMA*. If your browser asks whether it may open KOSMA, allow it.
KOSMA opens the Project Manager, the window with your projects. See [the Project Manager window](/kb/article/the-project-manager-window). You can close the browser window.
**If KOSMA does not open after you signed in.** Click **Open KOSMA** on the page in your browser. KOSMA opens the Project Manager.
**If no browser window opened.** Click **Copy sign-in link** in KOSMA. KOSMA copies the link without showing a message. Paste the link into the address bar of your browser and sign in. KOSMA is still waiting and opens the Project Manager after you have signed in.
**If KOSMA shows an error.** Click **Retry** in the error message. KOSMA starts a new sign-in attempt.
**If you want to stop the sign-in.** While KOSMA waits, the sign-in button shows a spinner instead of **Sign in with browser**. Click this button. KOSMA stops waiting, and the button shows **Sign in with browser** again.
**If you forgot your password.** Click **Sign in with browser**. On the sign-in page in your browser, click **Forgot password?**, enter your email address and click **Send me a Reset Link**. You receive an email with a link to set a new password.
KOSMA keeps you signed in, also when you lose your internet connection. You do not need to sign in each time you start KOSMA. See [work offline or in local-only mode](/kb/article/work-offline-or-in-local-only-mode).
You can be signed in on one device at a time. If you sign in on another device, KOSMA ends the session on this device. See [what your licence includes](/kb/article/what-your-licence-includes).
