First Steps
You can create a project, name it, and add guests in the same dialog you save with.
**Creating a project needs a connection.** The project is made on the KOSMA server, so the **Project** button is unavailable while you are offline or in local-only mode. Everything else on this page assumes you are online.
Click **Project**, above the projects list.
This is the one field that matters — everything else can be changed later.
The project appears in the list with you as **Owner**.
**Name it now.** A project saved with the name left empty is called **New Project** — and a list with three of those is exactly as unhelpful as it sounds.
**Adding people while you create it.** You can add guests in the same dialog, in the same **Guest Members** grid Project Settings uses. **Saving the project grants their access immediately** — there is no second save to remember. See [add a guest to a project](/kb/article/add-a-guest-to-a-project) for what they need before you can add them.
**What you have now.** An empty project. It holds no budget until you make one, and opening it asks you for that first budget straight away — that is where the budgeting manual starts, with [create a budget from a template](/kb/article/create-a-budget-from-a-template).
