You can switch DFFF calculation on for an account and enter the day counts the German-spend figures are derived from.
The Deutscher Filmförderfonds pays a share of the German spend on a production. The DFFF panel works out, per account, how much of that account counts.
**This is only relevant to productions applying to the DFFF.** Every other production can leave it alone.
Select the account and click **DFFF** in the account details.
**Calculation is off by default.** Every account starts with **Do not calculate** ticked and every field greyed out, so nothing is included until you deliberately include it. Untick it to enable the account.
That default is the usual answer to "why are my DFFF figures zero".
**Settings**, at the top right, opens **DFFF Parameters** — the scheme-wide settings this account's figures are measured against. Unlike the other panels it is not a list of definitions to pick from, so there is nothing to define before you can use this one; see [how settings work](/kb/article/how-settings-work).
**Employee** — whether the person is employed, and if so whether they were hired *abroad* or *hired in Germany*. **Foreigner not resident in Germany but hired in Germany** covers the case those two do not.
These are not bookkeeping details: they select which formula applies. The panel lists the branches under **Calculations** so you can see which one your combination lands in.
- **Employment in Days**, and **Thereof Not in Germany**. - **Shooting Days**, **Thereof Not in Germany**, and **Thereof in a Studio**.
The German share is derived from these, so their accuracy is what the figures rest on.

Each is shown as its formula and its result, so a surprising number can be traced rather than guessed at.
**Set ADHK Limit** caps the recognised spend where the scheme requires it.
