Archive and restore a projectFirst StepsYou can move a finished production from Projects to Archived Projects, and move it back at any time.Archive a finished production to keep your **Projects** list short. Its budgets, plans and guests stay as they are. You must be the owner of the project.1. Open the project's settingsIn **Projects**, click ![Gear](../../../../src/client/ui/assets/icons/gear.svg) **Open Settings** at the end of the project's row. See [open project settings](/kb/article/open-project-settings).2. Click Archive ProjectClick **Archive Project**, next to the name field. The button now reads **Unarchive Project**.**Delete Project**, in the same dialog, removes the project permanently. See [delete a project](/kb/article/delete-a-project).3. Click OkClick **Ok**. KOSMA moves the project from **Projects** to **Archived Projects**.4. Open the settings of the archived projectWhen you need the project again, click the **Archived Projects** tab. In the project's row, click ![Gear](../../../../src/client/ui/assets/icons/gear.svg) **Open Settings**.5. Restore the projectClick **Unarchive Project**, and then **Ok**. KOSMA moves the project back to **Projects**.**If a project has no gear icon.** In the **Role** column, the project shows **Guest**. Only the owner can archive a project. Ask the owner to do it.**If the gear icon of the Demo Project cannot be clicked.** You cannot archive the **Demo Project**, because KOSMA locks its settings.Markdown
