Archive and restore a projectFirst StepsYou can take a finished production out of your projects list without losing it, and bring it back.Archiving is housekeeping. It is what you do to a production that has wrapped, so your list shows the work you are actually on — not something you do routinely.**Nothing is deleted.** An archived project keeps every budget, plan and cost report it had, keeps its people, and comes back exactly as it was.Archive a project1. Open the project's settings[Open project settings](/kb/article/open-project-settings).2. Click Archive Project3. Save**It is not archived until you save.** Clicking the button stages the change; clicking it a second time before saving cancels it, and closing without saving leaves the project where it was.Find an archived projectAbove the projects list, switch from **Projects** to **Archived Projects**. That button is the only place archived projects appear — they are gone from the main list by design, which is the point of archiving.Restore one1. Switch to Archived ProjectsOpen the project's settings from there.2. Click Unarchive Project3.
