Budgeting
You can apply fringes and supplements to an account, choose which subaccounts each covers, and adjust a supplement for one person with the multiplier.
Select the account, then click **Fringes & Supplements** in the account details.
If the account has subaccounts, tick them under **Apply to subaccounts**, or use **All**.
Fringes and supplements have **separate** selections, because they are usually different: statutory contributions are due across the whole engagement, whereas overtime and night premiums are typically only incurred during part of it.
On the **Fringes** tab, expand a group and tick what applies. Each row shows its **Percentage** and the resulting **Total** as you go.
Both tabs offer only what is defined in Settings. **Settings**, at the top right of the dialog, opens those definitions without losing your place — see [define wage fringes](/kb/article/define-wage-fringes) and [define wage supplements](/kb/article/define-wage-supplements) if what you need is not there.
The heading tells you what the calculation is running on — *(calculated on account total)* or *(calculated on account total + supplement total)*, depending on the checkbox in step 5.
**Timebase (days) for fringe limits** — if any fringe you applied has a daily limit, enter how many work days that limit should be measured over.
You can type a number, or take the quantity from the account itself so it follows the schedule. Only two functions are allowed here, and the field rejects anything else:
| Use | For | | --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | `ACCOUNT_QTY` | this account's own quantity | | `SUBACCOUNT_QTY("2")` | one subaccount's quantity — offered only when the account has subaccounts |
This is the field for actors paid per shoot day who work longer once rehearsals and fittings are counted — the days that attract the limit are not the days on the account.
On the **Supplements** tab, expand a group and tick what applies.
**Multiplier** scales the definition's *Percentage Of Work Time* for this account:
The definition expects 10% overtime. This person will run at 20%. Set the multiplier to **2**.
It accepts formulas, so it can be tied to something else in the budget rather than typed.
**Automatically add wage fringes to supplements** is ticked by default — an overtime premium is still wage, and statutory contributions are normally due on it.
Unticking it narrows the fringe base on this account to the wage alone. The heading on the Fringes tab changes to match, so you can always see which basis is in force.
Click **Ok**. **Cancel** discards everything you changed in the dialog.
**Reset Fringes** and **Reset Supplements** clear one side without touching the other, and each appears on its own tab — so resetting is always scoped to the side you are looking at.
**Next.** Applying the same selection repeatedly is what [presets](/kb/article/save-and-reuse-a-fringe-preset) are for — and once one is saved, it applies straight from the account details panel, without opening this dialog. Fringes and supplements keep separate preset lists, so a recurring case is one preset on each side.
