First Steps
You can add someone to a project, and know they need a KOSMA account before you can.
Guests are managed from the **Project Manager** window — the window with the projects list, the one KOSMA opens on you when you sign in. Not from inside an open project: find the project's row in the list and click its settings control, as in [open project settings](/kb/article/open-project-settings).
Only the owner has this control.
A new row appears in the guests list.
**Name** is a single field, not first and last — type however you want them shown. **Email** must be the address they registered with KOSMA.
The row is staged until you save — closing the settings without saving leaves the project exactly as it was.
**The guest must have signed in to KOSMA at least once before you can add them.** No invitation email goes out — adding someone is a direct grant, not an invite, so if the address you type has no account behind it, saving fails and tells you so.
If they have not signed up yet, they create the account themselves — see [create your KOSMA account](/kb/article/create-your-kosma-account) — and you add them afterwards, using the address they registered with.
**This is not the team invitation.** KOSMA does send an invitation email in one other place: a team invitation, which gives someone a licence seat and arrives with a code they redeem — see [redeem a team invitation](/kb/article/redeem-a-team-invitation). That is about paying for someone's access to KOSMA. Adding a guest is about letting an existing account into one project, and it emails nobody.
**Optional: give their access an end date.** A guest you add keeps access indefinitely, by default. If they only need it for one production, set [when their access ends](/kb/article/set-when-a-guests-access-ends) in the same dialog.
**If Guest is greyed out.** **A row that is not finished blocks adding the next one.** The button comes back as soon as every guest row has a name and a valid email address — an incomplete row is the usual cause, not a permission you are missing.
