You can add someone to a project with their email address, even if they do not have a KOSMA account yet.
You can give someone access to a project with their email address, even if they do not have a KOSMA account yet. Only the owner of the project can add a guest.
A guest gets access to a single project. With a team invitation and its code, a person gets a licence seat. See [redeem a team invitation](/kb/article/redeem-a-team-invitation).
In the **Project Manager**, click  **Open Settings** at the end of the project's row. KOSMA opens the **Project Settings** window. If the icon is missing or greyed out, see [open project settings](/kb/article/open-project-settings).
Under **Guest Members**, click **Guest**. KOSMA adds an empty row. Its **Access Ends** already shows 31 December of the current year.
A new guest sees every section of the project. To hide **Financing**, **Cash Flow** or **Cost Control** from the guest, clear its box in the guest's row. **Budgeting** is always visible and cannot be cleared.
Type the person's first and last name into **Name**. You can also leave the field empty. Type the person's email address into **Email**.
To end the guest's access on a different date, change **Access Ends** in the same row. See [set when a guest's access ends](/kb/article/set-when-a-guests-access-ends).
Click **Ok**. KOSMA sends an email to every guest in the list, including guests who already had access. If no KOSMA account exists for an address yet, the email is an invitation. KOSMA creates the account when the guest accepts the invitation.
To make the project visible to the guest, open the project and share a dataset, for example a budget, with them in the project window. See [how sharing works](/kb/article/how-sharing-works). If a guest has never signed in to KOSMA, you can share a dataset with them only after their first sign-in. The guest does not need a paid licence. On Free, they can read everything you share with them.
A row has no valid email address. Its **Email** field has a red frame. While the frame is there, you cannot save any other change in the window either, for example a new project name. Enter a valid email address in that row.
When you click **Cancel**, KOSMA discards every change you made in the window, including a new project name.
To leave without adding the guest, click **Cancel**.
